Purpose over passion

Sometimes we seek things to fill the empty or lonely parts of our lives. Yet we are still left feel unsatisfied. We may gain some form of temporary pleasure but still not that eternal feeling of peace.

Often times the things that bring us pain are brought into our lives to challenge us and bring us closer to God. How close can we truly get to God? In our attempt to find Him we actually discover a deeper part of ourselves. One that we never thought existed because we were never desperate or hungry enough to search for it.

Recently I found myself in this situation. I had been praying and asking God for a particular thing and when He brought it into my life I was so happy. I was overwhelmed with feelings of joy and life.

Then as I fully enveloped myself in this new thing I found out that it wasn't what I truly wanted at all. It was all superficial and had no substance. It looked good and at times felt good but it didn't go deep into my soul.

I allowed myself to get caught up in the passion and the desires of my flesh instead of holding tight to my purpose. I had lost sight of my calling....what I was created for. God had a plan for me and I thought I could tell Him my plan.

I got a glimpse of what a mess I could make if I allowed my flesh to take control of my life. I decided that it was more important for me to hold onto the situations in my life that caused me discomfort because I realize that they keep me seeking the face of God. They drive me closer and closer to my calling.

The things that I have struggled with for the last 11 years are actually the very things that have formed me into the person I am today. People may judge me or the decisions I have made in my life but I am ok with it. I know that one day God will show them. I know His glory will be revealed in me.

I know that one day my pain and journey will be an inspiration and deliverance for others. What I struggle with is what makes me most valuable. It has created a passion is me that is established in truth. What God has established can not be destroyed because it is eternal.

Blessed and Highly Favoured

"And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women." Luke 1:28

Blessed: To be empowered to prosper and succeed. Those who live with God. Consecrated. Holy. Revered. Sacred. Worthy of worship.

Favoured: To be accepted. To be given unfair preferential treatment.

To know this is to be intimate with the fact that you are impregnated with the wisdom and power of God. You have the ability to achieve success through the spirit of God that is working within you.

Fear can not exist in the presence of God. Faith is the substance of every promise that shall come to pass.

Holding on to the convictions of your heart positions you to be in the flow of blessings and undeserved favour. What you obtain through God can not be worked for. It is not deserved through your fleshly actions. It is given through grace and mercy.

We are rewarded through our faith. We are released and activated by the word that works within us. If we believe with our hearts then shall we manifest and achieve the visions of God.

We are blessed and highly favoured. We are above and not beneath. We are the head and not the tail.

Let us rise and be the women that God has called us to be.

What do you call yourself? I am blessed and highly favoured!!!!!!

He will make an example of me

He will make an example of me.My life will be a reflection of His love and glory. Holding on to the promises of God and moving forward in the faith of my convictions. Staying true to the word that is embedded in my heart.

He will make an example of me. Showing forth His power and strength. I stand on His word and listen to the beat of His heart. Never looking back but always looking forward. Working for His Kingdom.

HE WILL MAKE AN EXAMPLE OF ME. I walk in prosperity and joy. He is my laughter and confidence. In Him I live, breathe and have my being. In Him I will establish my successes and praise Him for His faithfulness.

I am His and in Him I am free. He will make an example of me.

Not of this world

It is difficult at times to walk in this world and not be affected by what others say and think about you. We often attach ourselves to the words and take them to heart. We forget that nothing in this world can define us. Nothing in this world can limit us. We were created by God and we walk this Earth in His image and likeness.

I grew up in an abusive home so I was left feeling depleted, afraid and insecure. This has caused me to look to others for acceptance. It is only recently (over the last year or so) that I released those emotions and accepted myself in God's love.

In His love I am perfect and worthy. In His love I am safe and secure. In His love I am resting and I trust that all things are working in my favor. I can not concern myself with what others think about me. I can't worry about what they say.

I have to continue to walk in God's love and peace and stand on His promises. The external does not define me or label me. I am made free in His love.

Holding on to fears and insecurities is something that we chose to do. It is safe for us to build walls and barriers. It is easy to make excuses rather than walk by faith and push beyond limitations.

It seems safer to stand back and take a seat. Sadly we will never manifest our full potential if we are worried about getting hurt or stirring up opinions. We are in this world to manifest God's love and power. We are not of this world so we are not limited by it. We must remember who we are as we go forth in His Kingdom.

EXHALE

Sometimes we get so caught up living in this physical world that we tend to neglect the spiritual being within. The being that is yearning for attention and love. The Being that is carrying us through this life that we perceive to be real.

We tend to think that all we have is what we are. We feel depleted and discouraged when "life" doesn't seem to be going so smoothly or as planned.

Why do we feel so free but yet so captivated by the things we experience and feel? Why do we lose ourselves in the routines we have so diligently created for ourselves? Why do our hearts go right while our minds go left?

When did we forget to exhale?

Many of us spend most of our lives inhaling. Taking in the life moments. Holding on to memories. Harboring resentment and pain. We take in the moments of joy, love, fear and pain but we forget to release them.

We forget to detach from them. We allow them to hold us down, to define us...to keep us captive in yesterday.

We forget to exhale.

We forget to live in the moment.

We carry each moment into the next and never fully experience life for what it really is.

Life is unlimited moments. Moments that come and go. Individual NOW moments.

Moments of faith.

Let them go as them come. They are a flash in time.

Take them in....inhale the moment but don't forget to exhale.

Empty your lungs.

Make room for the next moment.

The next fresh breath of air.

Make room for God's spirit that is unlimited, ever changing but yet so constant.

Don't forget to exhale.

Interruptions

Life can interrupt your plans. At times it may seem like everything is out of control but yet still in control. Things around you can be chaotic but your spirit has the ability to rest in God.

That is what has been going on in my life lately. I can see how much I have matured in God and how my faith has grown stronger. The things that used to take me for a spin don't have that control over me anymore.

Do I still struggle with doubts and fears? Yes, but they don't overcome me the way they used to. I recently had a death in my family and two family members got very sick but I was still at peace.

I remembered that poem about the footprints in the sand. I sat back one day and it hit me. God was carrying me. He was helping me get through some circumstances that a year ago may have consumed me.

It is amazing to me how I can actually be on the other side of my emotions now. I can look back and say "wow you have traveled a long hard road but look at where you are now". I am resting in God.

There are moments when my mind wants to get caught up in my natural circumstances but I quickly bring myself back to the place of faith....of resting and trusting in God. Only He knows the plans He has for me and I must trust that they are good.

I must rest in His undying and unconditional love. I must allow His peace and joy to consume me and saturate me with assurance.

In Him I live, breathe and have my being. Nothing can touch His anointed. I am God's anointed and in Him I will stand.

All praise and honor be to God. :)

Resurrected in God

God ministered to my heart concerning the Resurrection. Many of us have situations in our lives in which we feel that there is no hope. We feel as if our situation is dead. We find no life or fruit in the things we are hoping or believing God for.

We speak life but our minds have trouble comprehending how God can manifest His truth. We live doubting His promises. We are tormented with negative thoughts.

Yesterday I was reminded that the only thing that dies is our carnality. The only thing that is sacrificed is our way of thinking....our perception. Through the trials and walks of faith we are encouraged to put on the mind of Christ. We are to walk in the renewing of our minds and walk with boldness believing and professing the word of God.

All things are resurrected in God. The spirit remains although the external seems impossible to achieve. God's truth will stand. His word will not return void.

There is life in God. He has resurrected our situation by His spirit. We often think that we have to work it out....we have to manipulate and pray our way through a situation.

God wants us to surrender to His spirit and be a prayer. He wants us to live and walk in Unity with His spirit believing that He has the power to resurrect what you think is dead.

When Christ died so did every curse. When He rose we were given the victory in Him to defeat every adversity.

So I encourage you to walk boldly in the power of God and begin to speak life. Don't stay in the old mind frame. You must allow His love to saturate your heart so that you can begin to see that all things are made new in Him.

WE ARE THE RESURRECTED SPIRIT OF GOD. He lives in us, we live through Him.

At The Top

My heart was touched today by my little princess. She told me about a movie she watched at school. It was about a group of climbers that climbed Mt. Everest. She said one of the climbers had the same name as me.

She said it reminded her of my journey. She said "mommy you are standing at the top of the mountain now and looking over your life......you are over it......you are doing things that you wished you could do".

That touched me so deeply because I remember thinking I would never reach the top. I remember a time in my life when I didn't feel hope. I didn't think I would ever stop hurting or feeling depressed.

Although there are still days or moments that I get a little down I am still able to reach a peaceful place in my heart and rejoice in the abundant blessing I am walking in. I am still on this amazing journey and I still have many things to accomplish but I am at the top.

This means to me that I am over the past and I am pressing forward with determination. I can only see joy and blessings from this point on. I can now see God's glory in every part of my life and give Him thanks for being my constant companion.

I have learned that what I focus on most is what becomes dominant in my life. I spent too many years focused on what was wrong instead of rejoicing in the good.

I looked at the opposition instead of realizing that it was a set up for opportunity. Every adversity was a chance to press forward and grow stronger through the resistance.

My eyes have seen amazing things. My heart has loved unconditionally. My mind now has the capacity to create endless possibilities.

I have grown. I have strived and I have overcome. I am so grateful.

I AM AT THE TOP AND THE VIEW IS AMAZING!

LIVE!!!!!

We all have the ability to live large and in color. Why wait for the "special" moment? Why minimize your potential? Why tip toe around?

Every day is a day to rejoice, reflect and be grateful for the fullness of life. Let us embrace every opportunity. Take pride in each step and live fully as ourselves.

Life may not be what you would like it to be but know that everyday is a gift from the Lord. No matter how it is packaged, it is a sacred moment.

Relinquish your power and live. Live for the joy. Live for the power. Live for the simple joy of just breathing and being free in His spirit. Live for love.

Love your life and be glad in each day you are given.

Stay focused because it is good

Staying focused on what is good and prosperous creates opportunities that nurture your gifts. We have each been called to fulfill a certain plan on this Earth. God has a plan and purpose for your creation. Being obedient to His spirit takes discipline and dedication.

When you walk around focused on what is "not right" in your life then you reap and create more of it. Being grateful for every little thing and saturating yourself in God's endless love only makes room for more of it.

Holding on to resentment and strife is like a cancer that eats away at your peace, joy and pleasure. Letting go and walking in the peace of God is what breaks the bondages of defeat.

We don't walk alone. We walk by faith and not by sight. Let us move forward in this season and see the fruits of our labor for they are sweet and plentiful. CAN YOU PERCEIVE IT?

My mind....the instrument.

Lots of good and transitional things have been going on over the last couple of months. I am in a very good place but I still struggle to let go of emotions and rest in God.

I am so much stronger than I used to be but there are days that I might get down for a little while. I know it's natural but I was reminded the other day that what I allow my mind to focus on is what will determine the outcome of my situation.

God revealed this clearly to me the other day while I was at work. I was working on a project and I was trying to remember one thing while writing another. It was very hard to write something other than what I was thinking. My hand wanted to follow what my mind was trying to remember.

I realized just how important it is to meditate on what is good and prosperous. I must meditate on positive things in order to walk in the fullness of my passion. I must allow my mind to rest in God and not in my own understanding.

I MUST trust that what God desires for my life can only unfold if I trust in Him and walk by faith. I must move by His heartbeat. I must flow in His love.

I can not allow anything external to distract me from what is eternal. God's promises will prevail as long as I do my part and walk fully trusting and believing in the power I have when I lean on His word.

My mind is the instrument......
